230 - A God, Miraculous

Aventana

Sitting in the car, I wait.

Caell and Malley helped us decode some more of that boy's phone, as well as somehow getting world's reaction on record.

To be a fly on the wall in that room when he received the package... Utter bliss.

Right now, said decoding has led me to an address in Richmond. Usually, I wouldn't frequent Richmond, as it's a cult hotspot - but this is for Tavi, and for Terrence, who I know have both suffered as a result of her actions.

Interestingly, the 'might trash' that Maltan mentioned also had his address listed here - and I know for a fact that he bullied Tavi and tried to molest them whilst Gabi was in front.

So even if I don't find Liv, I will be speaking to him.

Cathuaboda and Esus sit with me, respectively sharpening their weapons. I'm definitely not the only family member who's furious.

I'll enjoy watching him suffer.

Cathy's twisted smirk is palpable - probably because it's most acceptable for her to behave this way, as a War and Death God.

What's the plan, then? I can't wait to see their reactions when they see Lin's face.

I smirk.

They'll shit themselves.

There!

The 'might trash' plods in front of our car, blubber flabbing as he treads an embarrassingly uneven gait.

Cathy wordlessly snaps her fingers, snickering, to teleport out of the car. Quietly, she knocks the trash can unconscious, floating him into the boot, before teleporting herself back into the van. Esus binds his body with the most pernicious ropes we have, and smiles.

Too easy.

As we're about to leave, that bitch steps out, seemingly looking for the bin boy.

Ooh, two in one!

This time, Esus snaps his fingers at her, and Liv Parsons is immediately knocked out cold as he lifts her into the floor of the car telekinetically, motioning for Cathy to bind her. She obliges.

We struck gold, right?

Ya.

Something about all this feels too easy. And yet, I can't help but think maybe that's the entire point - world has no more cards to play, he just wants us to think he does.

And that is what will get him killed.

Engaging the ignition, I drive towards Dorking.

Let's see how much longer you can pretend to be powerful, world.

Lin

Now that my treatment has been properly confirmed by Belenos, I'm back at Granna's house.

Honestly, I'm relieved.

Though I'm not exactly thrilled with the idea of blood transfusions, finally being diagnosed is a welcome change in my life.

All I have to do now is have the treatment as and when I need it.

Just as I think this, I hear a knock at the back door. When I open it, Cathy's standing there, smirking, holding bin boy on the floor by his botched bleached aqua curls.

Guess who?
